Rave Chick

Woot, party time.

I'm off for the holidays, and the comic is ready to be posted (finally). Expect that tomorrow.

I've spent a lot of time thinking about my next project after the comic, and I've settled that I'm going to make a 2D sidescroller, using Unity 3D. I've chosen Unity because...that 's what I know how to use...sue me... Expect the characters for that on Wednesday.

As always, message me if anyone is doing any group projects. I'll be glad to drop whatever I'm doing to join in.

Man Eating Horses

Ah, the holidays. Nice time to catch up, and I'm doing just that. The comic has been sent out to several people and I'm (still) awaiting their comments. The website's layout has already been set up and everything is running smoothly, as usual. I am moving towards the idea of making a game for my next "personal project." Mainly because I miss doing it so much. That said, I'm still looking for groups of people to work on projects with.

Also, the image had more color, but the camera apparently keeps acting up...just one more thing I'll have to buy...

Minotaur's Cry

So, yah, I went radio silent there for a bit, but now I'm back with a vengeance. Several assets for the main site are complete, as is the comic. However the comic needs to be proofread first.

I'm looking forward to some new projects. I've gotten some very helpful suggestions and the most difficult part of that is deciding which ones to choose. I will continue to work on the comic for sure though.

I'm also seeking group projects, so if you know of anyone who needs an extra pair of hands, I'm up for it. I really do have fun working by myself, but I really miss group projects. Working alone tends to get...er...lonely. So speak up!

In a cluster...yah...

I've installed Dreamweaver but I have to redo some things before I can really get started. I also have some ideas for how I want the site to look as a whole. I'll have to make some resources in order to make this vision a reality, all the while working on the nearly finished comic. Things are moving very fast but I'm still on schedule. I guess that's all that matters.

Thanksgiving is coming up as well, so that would theoretically give me time to work on things...unfortunately I'd bet my bottom dollar that they'll want me to help cook, then request I "not work at the table." You see, working in public doesn't bother me so much. It's working in front of my family that leaves me unnerved. (what with the constant bombardment of ridiculous questions.)

Cleaning Up

I'm working on the last three pages of the comic all at once. I've spent very little time on it up till now due to a tsunami of assignments that had left me out of "juice." I've pretty much spent today trying to find things that I've lost over the past 3 days including my keys, my PSP, and my phone. I found my keys and the PSP...but no phone...hm.

I'm preparing for another tsunami of bullshit next week. (this one will be much smaller due to better planning >.>) I cant wait for the Thanksgiving holidays when I can work on all of this in peace.

Bogged down for a while

Have to download Dreamweaver I guess, seeing as no one sees fit to sell me a physical copy.

I'm starting a design document on a new PC game. It'll be a side scroller with 2D assets. Why 2D...well, I just don't see too much of that any more and that makes me a sad panda.

There are three more pages left for the comic, then I'll be put up for viewing. It will be about nine pages...of epicness.

Lurking About

A guy hunting a deer...badly.

There are two pages left to do before I can have anyone look at it. I've decided I'm positive I want to keep the pages together and not upload them weekly. I wanted to have them done by Halloween but I don't think that's going to happen. Still, for something that was considered to be a "low priority" project, progress has been quite smooth.

I'm also going to pick up Dreamweaver this weekend. (finally)

A Clash (a rare thing that bugs me)

If I respond with sarcasm to someone who has answered a question I've asked someone else, please know that you deserved it. Once more, I'm not a fan of people chiming in from nowhere when I'm having a conversation with someone I respect.

The next two pages of the comic will be done at once, I've been taking a class to (among other things) improve production speed. Very soon I'll be sending specific people demo pages to make notes about. The other comic hit a snag when it was brought to my attention that it wasn't as original as I had thought, and I'd much rather work on something that I consider unique. I've also started trying to weed out which version of Dreamweaver I want/need, which is good news in terms of improving the main site.

Otherworldly...stuff

Cube creatures from another dimension...oh yes!

I'm on page 4 of the comic. It's good stuff so far, but it's obviously taking a while.

If more frequent entertainment is what you want, you'll be pleased to know about the second comic project, which is more of a weekly strip then a full blown story. The characters are ready, but the jokes are not. I'll be spending the next week gathering ideas for interesting gags and shenanigans.

Also, I'll be working on the images and icons for the two new sections of the main website. I'll have Dreamweaver in my grasp, once more, in the very near future.

The site will be split up into three sections. Art, zombie comic, and the strip. The "Art" section will consist of all concepts, the black and white comic, and renders of 3D models.

Peace out and whatnot.

A, Robot! (c wat i did their)

I haven't posted anything in a while, so here's a pretty robot...of DOOM!

I have 2 pages of the upcoming comic done. Right now I'm trying to figure out how I want to post them. I didn't really want to post them one at a time because that would break the flow. I also want to post them as often as possible. I'm seeking a clever middle ground.

Zombies!!!1

Ah, previews. I might alter some minor things in the actual comic, but this is what to expect in terms of characters. I'm writing the script tonight and tomorrow, after which I will try to post pages daily. I am incredibly excited about this project and I appreciate any feedback at all.

OMG Mysterious sketches...

The question could be asked, "Just doing schoolwork huh?...No big projects?..." Well I answer that with this. I'm spending a lot more time in the R&D phase this time to prevent any unseen...stuff. Not that anything in the last comic was unexpected, just...a little more bland then I intended. This new project is leaps and bounds past the last one, so it will certainly be something to look forward to. Feedback is good too.

Pics and Parental Controls

This was a pencil drawing I did while reminiscing a story I wrote about a year back. Though I usually tend to keep moving forward, I do find it occasionally calming to visit ideas of past days.

Well, let's kick off the first installment of what I like to call:

[So...this happened...]
Schwarzenegger v. Entertainment Merchants Association and Entertainment Software Association

A little late to the party, I know, but a similar subject (video game violence and its impact on minors) crept up in a psychology class of mine. As I read more and more about this, I kept thinking two things:

The first, more mature thought, was that parental controls are a very good answer to this problem. Not just the parental controls in the system. I mean parental control. It is a parent's job to decide what their child can and cannot watch/play. A common misconception that seems to keep popping up is that "I don't want to watch/play what my child is watching/playing," for various reasons. I really believe that watching cartoons and playing games with one's children can be a real bonding experience. To boot, if something inappropriate does show itself, they can talk to their child about it. (Knowing is half the battle...GI JOE!...ect.)

The second, less mature, thought was that, "Lolz, this effects large developers and not me." Which isn't entirely true. However, I can't help but chuckle a little thinking what my artistic response to this would be if happens at some point. I could only imagine what I would create would be an extreme of what they feared most.

Darwin would just love this.

The idea was to create a relatively slow moving creature that would be threatening if it made contact with anything. The creature was designed to be covered in a corrosive slime, that it could use to poison, then digest, any poor thing that happens to get too close.

I suppose it could move quickly if it needed to. The slime could swing all around as the beast charges toward its target, uttering loud gurgles and wheezing sounds as it get's closer.

Nasty stuff...and this is good.

Testing...1, 2, 3?

This is just a test to see if the images are working...but it's uncanny isn't it?

Let's get started

Greetings and salutations! Welcome to my amazingly epic, insightful, and manly blog!

Here you will find all sorts of rantings and updates about stuff that I care about. More specifically though, you may find nifty doodles that did not make it into the main site's gallery, stuff going on in the animation/game industry, and information I find controversial/provocative.

"The wheel of fate is turning!"..or something like that...let's just start this thing.
